Electrolysis involves the insertion of a very fine, disposable probe (the same diameter as the hair) inserted into the hair follicle, which is a natural opening in the skin. Once the probe reaches the depth of the anagen or active hair phase, a current is released to destroy the source of nourishment that feeds the hair. Then the treated hair is gently removed from its follicle with the help of sterilized forceps. The follicle destruction is achieved by heat (with thermolysis) or a chemical reaction (with galvanic) or both together (with the blend).
At Esthetic Centre Medi Spa, using a Zeiss microscope is crucial to our practise. Microscopic electrolysis allows the technician to see all the fine hairs and offers precision that only happens when using a microscope.
Esthetic Centre Medi Spa maintains strict sterilization procedures to ensure the safety of all its clients. Probes are discarded and forceps sterilized after each use. All surfaces are disinfected between clients.
